  2. Compare the Canadian evidence for Paleoindian sites. What evidence supports the theories that people arrived in the Americas 20,000-or-so years ago? What evidence rejects this theory?
  3. Why do you suppose that artistic expression began to flourish with the Upper Paleolithic peoples?
  4. What are some of the purposes for their art? How does this compare to our purposes or uses for our art?
  5. Why would regionalism become more marked as populations grow and spread? Use two Canadian sites such as the Kilgii Gwaay site in British Columbia and the Debert Site in Nova Scotia as examples.
